I attended an event in Google's HQ in Dublin last week and listened to a great presentation from Graham Barry, who is a product specialist working across all Google products (Search, Display, Video, Mobile, Social). Graham's presentation focused on You Tube and the Google Display Network and he shared some interesting numbers. Since 2009,the number of viewers watching videos online has grown by 19% and the number of video views grew by 300%. Basically, more of us are watching more-and-more vidoes online!On a personal level, my own consumption of You Tube videos has seriously increased over the last year. From finding out how to cook a Spanish omelette to how to fit a child's car seat- Seriously, I don't know what I did without it!
